Today was Sasha’s first day of first grade! This year it was much easier to see her walk into the building when the bell rang. Last year I packed Sasha a lunch almost every single day. We brought her lunch for her birthday, and on field trip day she begged me to let her eat school lunch –so I did.
On my cold lunch page I documented her lunches (only til April). This year I intend to document all her lunches there too. Hopefully having a baby a one year old who sleeps through the night, I won’t be too exhausted to blog about it.
Last year I packed WAY more sandwiches than I had intended too. I was so concerned about her being bored with sandwiches. With one year of cold lunch packing under my belt I am looking forward to being more creative with her lunches this year. There are so many neat blogs out there that feature bento style lunches. You can either Google it or check out a few of these blogs that have such fun lunches:

What I learned over the last year:
she really likes carrots –she had one in almost every lunch
salami, cheese, and crackers is a favorite
she loves hard boiled eggs –I never knew that before
if she buys her milk at school she will usually choose strawberry milk
popcorn was a huge hit –she really didn’t eat many lunches with chips last year
I hope you will follow along this year. Keep checking the cold lunch page!
If you have any cold lunch tips or favorites you’d like to share with me let me know in the comments!

Hey Jamie! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I’m so glad you’ll be able to use our printable crafts with your girls. I know my daughter loved them! =)
Anyway, I’m off to go look at your lunch ideas. Take care!!
