Soo pretty! Cant believe I missed National Chocolate Cake Day! But then again I was feeling guilty about making and enjoying the cake I made the week prior. Chocolate cake(my mom's recipe) with my fave frosting....German Chocolate! Loaded with coconut and nuts- and not out of a can!!

Puppy Chow is a huge hit in this household. A few of my kids request puppy chow for birthday gift...their very own bucket all to themselves! And if that doesn't work(it never does) they request it for their birthday dessert! A bunch of doggy food fanatics around here!

Thanks for the suggestion Ana, my daughter loves carrots (she eats one everyday!) so the carrots worked perfectly for us. However others may want to try the cheddar cheese option!

I love this idea and I have made them before for my friend's birthday (she loves penguins) but taste wise, you may want to try the feet and mouths with chedar cheese instead of carrots... tastes a lot better!!

How about bringing some of your sweet treats with you when you come for brunch? Grandpa and I are both saying we are not going to do any this year. So far we have stuck to it, but you know how grandpa loves his sweets. Hope you are all feeling better.

Thanks Grandma! I thought about putting a pan of water in the oven, but my oven is too small. I was afraid the rack the cheesecake on would have been up too high. I love my house but the range/oven situation is less than ideal :)

Sounds like an excellent meal. Bet our guests were full and happy. A little tip I picked up when surfing the recipe sites in regard to "cracked top" cheesecakes. Instead of putting your cheesecake in a bath, put a pan of water on the second shelf below the cheesecake. Should provide the extra steam needed to prevent cracking. Something to try anyway. The praline topping was also a good idea and sounds yummy.
